Published by Mark Deniz under Release

Morrigan Books can now announce that it is to continue the successful series of Detective Inspector Chen novels, written by Philip K. Dick Award nominee, Liz Williams.

The first four novels: Snake Agent (2005), The Demon and the City (2006), Precious Dragon (2007) and The Shadow Pavilion (2009) will be followed by two more titles, scheduled for this year and next.

Yet another thumbs up for ‘Requiems for the Departed’

This book’s full of entertaining slaughter, gory slug fests, and, being Irish, the lingering touch of inevitable longing, heartache, and loss.

Great article on Requiems for the Departed in the Irish Times

“Irish mythology is wrought with revenge tales, powerful dynasties built on deceit and good old-fashioned crimes of passion,” says Brennan. “The ancient myths contain subjects still examined in today’s crime fiction and as in the best crime fiction out there today, the lines between good and evil are often blurred. Tragic heroes, loveable rogues and charismatic con artists: they all have their parts to play in both crime fiction and Irish mythology.”

Morrígan Books closed to novel length submissions

Published by Mark Deniz under Submissions

Just wanted to let you all know that Morrígan Books is no longer taking submissions for novels. This is due in part to several submissions of interest already being sent and also due to new contracts having already been signed.

Keep an eye on the site and news feed for any changes in the future.
