Our first creation here at Morrigan Books, Voices, is still winning praise for its concept and stories. The most recent review has been published in the Albedo 37 and was written by David Conyers:
“As a whole Voices is a stand-out collection of dark fiction, particularly as a first release for a new publishing company. Presentation and the book design are professional, captivating and appropriate to the theme, which is a failing for most other small press companies make. I look forward to reading further collections from Morrigan Books.“

The Australian Shadow Awards has given Voices the tick of approval!! (Click here for the link to the whole article).
“Morrigan Books’ first anthology, Voices (ed. Mark S. Denis & Amanda Pillar), showcased several fine stories set in the world’s creepiest hotel. The anthology itself was a contender, for me, and individual story standouts included Pete Kempshall’s brutal police procedural “Just Us”, Martin Livings’ “Bedbugs”, and Robert Hood’s flash fiction pieces (titled “Remainders”).”
The shortlist of the Australian Shadow Awards can be found here.

“Voices” is a nice collection of horror stories that deals more with the supernatural and paranormal aspects of the genre and less or almost not at all with the gory and macabre part. Also the anthology edited by Mark S. Deniz and Amanda Pillar presents new or established authors of the genre and I personally discovered through “Voices” a few names that stirred my interest.
